My ex keeps leaving me alone for a couple of months and then calls me and says that he wants to talk. It is very important for me to have my space, and I don’t know what to do. There are plenty of good men out there, but broken hearts don’t mend very easily, I was with him for a long time. I hope that he decides to let me go so that my heart can fully heal. I am interested in dating, but I need some time. It takes a long time to mend a broken heart. Since we were together for 2 years, my counselor says that my heart might take another 4 months to heal completely. I wish it was over and I could move on.
